In that they’re very real indeed

Lies, oh despicable lies
One day I’ll drown in metaphors
Please be sure to sympathise

But while you show me this concern
Who'll be looking out for her
Blood curdling screams from my mouth
She is nil by mouth and verse

I have cried wolf so many times
She can’t even cry her own tears
My lies are spun in silk cobwebs
My spinneret shrouding your ears

I spoon fed you daily doses
So it was easier to digest
I planted those seeds of sorrow
Your fertile mind did the rest

Lies, all those despica
Crushmy heart skips a beat,
my eyes wide like a caught doe,
oh how you have this effect on me?
Guess I'll never know,
but you're always on my mind

and it's getting quite distracting
and I'm a nervous wreck
who doesn't know what to do
oh how life troubles me
with throwing you in my way.

Most stories end happily after
Enchanted evenings; dreams coming true
Believing in magic; it could happen to you

Fairy tales fuel our dormant fires
Romantic films quench our inner desires
Demons become friends; fun times never end
Must be nice to live in a realm of pretend

That's not how things work in the real world
The hero doesn't always win his girl
People pass away; buildings crumble and fall
Cinderella's mice in reality would be mauled

Teacups don't sing; at least none that I know
Carpets can't glide through the wind's blow
Crabs do not dance; that is really absurd

Every now and then across the water at night
A lady can be seen dressed in long silky white
She dances along the water as elusive as a bird
Her beauty so astounding I can not put into words
Her movements so graceful they shift the moon’s release
On the gravity of the earth; every crevice and crease
If the world were to fall apart around her piece by piece
Her dancing would never cease but only increase

And I wait for every day to end so I can say
I have seen this great maiden by the bay

The trees bend their barks and their branches tease

Haircuts, highlights-Red, blue, gold
Tattoos and piercings-"Oh! So bold!"
And Spikes and Faux-hawks the gel must hold.

Paper inked with loveI used to write so many things
I used to smile, I used to sing

The piece of paper
On the table
A little story
Of a traitor

On the purest heart

I was the paper
You were the words
You violate me
So I got lost

I am the memory

They will retell this story
The piece of paper gonna burn to ash

F.O.R.G.I.V.E.F is for Feelings,
  pain, anger, guilt.
O is for Outrage,
  mountains from molehills built.
R is for Reasoning,
  let common sense in.
G is for Genuine,
  let healing begin.
I is for Ignore,
 those screaming for vengeance.
V is for Validity,
  give mercy a chance.
E is for Empathy,
  support and don't revile.

Forgiveness is stronger,
  than revenge or defile.
Forgiveness empowers
  the one that lets it reside.
Forgiveness the one thing
  that we all have inside.

The betrayal and anger,
  that's felt can be so stark.
Often, I'll admit, it leaves
  some emotional mark.
Forgiveness can strengthen,
  if you just allow.

AfterIt follows me.
My silver skeined ghost.

An almost imperceptible thread;
only visible when you shine light
    directly upon it.
It follows me.

It rides the underground.
It hides under bridges,
Under trains.
It is woven into the spools of tar
         that form the roads between.

Inevitably if I walk too fast
it reminds me -
Like the tug of stitches in your cheek
that reminds you; you have lost your wisdom.
It reminds me.

It trips me in doorways,
when my mind is elsewhere.
If I look away from it -
           - it slips round my neck.
Another knot to throw over the beams
it mauls me without a fair chance.

I tried to sever it. I can't.
The rule of nines.I know more about half-moon palms
than most know about lifelines

the kind that beg dandelion child,
love-yourself-breathless.

I know about forged castle ribs & broken homes.

Myths that are half fact & imaginary friend
turned bogieman -

Fangs that tear clear through ice-bone hearts
like they are nothing but pretty paper
to be folded over, again & again & again
by the hands of quivering youths:

Icarus, the reincarnated
sky conqueror searching for warmth.
My Sole ConditionTo what conditions must I comply
when prompted to write
of what dwells inside?

'Tis always my voice I aim to speak
with pen in hand, bleeding ink,
as does my heart, spilling words
upon a page, perhaps unheard
save by me, myself, and I -
imagination amplified!

Eclectic fragments in the mind -
to each his own for these are mine;
thereby forming how they will
in fluid flight with feathered quill,
as freedom flows with expression
of fantasy or pure confession.

Symbolic makings of the soul
take shape as musical rhymes unfold.
Whilst not perfected or contrived,
'tis how this poem became alive;
for thus am I, in each rendition,
still my own poeti
a lessonShe is
laughing;
she tosses her hair back and
she laughs at the world
who cannot hope to match her stride.
She meets eyes unashamedly,
she is radiant with confidence.

She is shy,
timid,
her eyes are downcast and
her cheeks are mottled
red.
Her words are whispers,
her breaths are sighs.

She is a sly smile.
She is a soft
whisper in his ear.
She does not seem to know
who she is.

He wants
to peel back the layers.
(though they are both afraid
that what lies beneath

is ugly.)

He wants
to speak to her.
But the words are stuck
in his throat,
suffocated with the
absence

of

oxygen
and he has nothing
to give her.

He wonders
if there

Just a cut.
Just a scratch.

"What's that mark.?"
"It was the cat."

Just an excuse.
Just another lie.

"What's with all the bracelets.?"
"Just fashion, why.?"

Just a tear.
Just a scream.

"Why were you crying.?"
"Just a bad dream."

Eliza went to answer the door coming back into the living room with four other irls.
"Hey so your (name)?" An asian girl who was about a bit shorter than you said.
"Yeah." You say.
"Oh its so nice to meet you." Said a girl with sandy blond hair and pretty purplish eyes and a big er...chest.

You'd think twice,
I know you would.
If you knew the truth
of what I've done.

I've hurt myself,
I've lied,
and I can't promise
I won't do it again.

I'm broken down,
and not very pretty
in the first place
so if you knew everything else

you would think twice
I know almost certainly.
For why have someone that is
broken and insecure

when you can have
someone with less problems?
why go after me,
when there's someone better?

who has no scars,
who has not hurt their family.
someone that is not damaged.

I have this crush on this guy and I can't help but think that if a guy that liked me knew everything that I've done. That I was a cutter that I lied about it to my parents, that I can't promise that I won't do it again. I can't help but think they would think twice about me

Can't say I'm in your position, but I don't deem my past as who I am, I see it as the start of who I'm going to be.
Still, :hug: this shows you have :heart: and that can't be changed. Especially when you can express it so artfully.

That isn't true sweetie. Being a cutter,or broken, doesn't make you any less of a person. I think it makes you better of a person, in a way. It shows that you are genuine, and have emotions. That you have a heart, and want to be happy. That you still have hope. We've all done things that we aren't proud of. I have numerous times. I've been mean, and hurt people and I've lied. It doesn't make you any less special. I bet you are a amazing person. Don't doubt yourself. :hug:

Thats is very true.
A lot of people believe that others wont be accepted for who they are and what they have done.
But I'm sure there are those people who see through it.
